"The Victorious" project web site
Those of you that have been keeping up with my concept artwork-ing for our online graphic novel project might have noticed that it’s missing one very important thing–the graphic novel itself (alas
). However, while I don’t expect the actual publishing of the comic to start for at least many more months, I noticed it was also missing another thing. A web site!
Of course, it wouldn’t do much good to design the site that will be used to contain the comic just yet; but I felt it could use a few pages to function as well-designed and attractive presentation of information about it. So that if someone goes, “hey, what’s that comic thing you’re working on all about,” I could just shoot them the link, rather than dig up the the blog category or the concept art, both lacking context and description.
So, after 2 all-nighters and a box of chocolate-dipped granola bars, I threw together most of it. If you’ve been at all curious about what the project is about, I definitely invite you to check out the website at the-victorious.com!
It’s organized in such a way that I think you’ll find it easy to get as broad or as detailed browse of the information as you like.
Since this was nothing nearly as serious as a portfolio site or a commission, I decided to take the opportunity to experiment a little more with CSS3, and use as little Javascript as possible. So, overall, this is by far the most quickly-thrown-together and least-polished-out web project I’ve done, but I hope that the spontaneity translates into a fun experience! (…Rather than too many bugs.
Though, feel free to let me know about those! )
